Edward Pope and Doug Pope formed the company in 2001, following an emergency call-out to help a colleague. Both Edward and Doug had been working in a partnership for at least 15 years in their own business as motor engineers. The new situation suddenly exploded into a mushroomed growth pattern and has become the successful business it is today. Currently Sovereign has contracts with all the leading transport operators in whole of London and surrounding home counties.

Edward and Doug Pope are motor engineers by profession and have operated their own garages for almost 25 years. They have worked together as a team and have enormous experience and connections in the industry, which both of them have built up over this period. When they started the business of "Sovereign" nobody anticipated the growth and success of the business and the potential, this venture had.

Today the current client base of Sovereign includes some of the largest transport operators such as Arriva, FirstGroup, Stagecoach, Metroline and Transport for London, among its customers.

The company has been extremely well run technically and uses the most sophisticated tracking system which pinpoints where each of its breakdown vehicles and engineers are at any given time. This enables us to direct our nearest patrol to the breakdown location and minimizes the time our clients spend on waiting for an engineer to arrive.
